Thembe has a wealth of experienced in writing and performing compelling, heartfelt poems to mark special occasions such as weddings and award ceremonies. Having authored educational resources, magazine articles and critical reviews for a range of clients, including the brands listed below, Thembe is a skilled and highly adaptive storyteller. Her editorial experience extends to editing a published youth-led zine and providing sensitivity reading feedback for publishers including Hachette.

Some examples of her commissioned work include: an educational resources for schools that incorporates poetry into the RSE curriculum, an impact journalism piece that involved interviewing and writing about creative innovation in London, a creative writing classroom activity published nationally for National Poetry Day 2018, and more recently a poem to mark the celebration of 75 years of England’s National Health Service, in partnership with University College Hospitals London.
